Compatibility with materials is a key characteristic of disinfectants, along with efficacy and safety. Many disinfectants utilized in pharmaceutical and laboratory facilities utilize harsh chemicals to achieve efficacy negating both safety and materials compatibility. Active ingredients, surfactants, and solvents can damage surfaces, textiles and sensitive pharmaceutical equipment.
